Introduction to Bellydance
Introduction to bellydance will give you a brief overview of American Style bellydance. You will learn the fundamentals and importance of proper posture, basic technique and dance etiquette. This class will get you up and moving and best of all, having a good time! This is a technique based class where you will learn individual steps and short combinations.

MD Faerie Festival Recap
The MD Faerie Festival this past weekend was wonderful! There was a light breeze Saturday and 20 mph wind gusts on Sunday which made for much fun with double veil. But if you subtract the wind, the broken shoe in the first 10 seconds of Saturday’s performance and the very slippery wet, muddy grass Sunday it was a fantastic performance. Sestraluna had a ton fun as did our sisters in dance Troupe Hipnotic and Bellydance Delight who were there as well. We were asked by Kiva to dance with them as they closed out the day. We are hoping to work with them some more in the near future!

The first video is from Saturday where there was a broken shoe flapping up under my foot which threw off my balance but the veils were not as hindered by wind.
The second video is from Sunday where the grass was slippery and the wind fought my non-stop but at least I wasn’t stumbling from a silly shoe.
Plus Size Costumes for Sale
I have several plus size costumes for sale up on my costumes for sale page ranging from $100 to $695.00. Both student and professional quality. I have lost a bunch of weight and really need to get new costumes but some of these have to go first. Please pass it along to any dancer you know who needs plus size costumes. Anyone local can email me and set up a time to come try them on. The costume cup sizes are no smaller than a 40D and go up to at least 42 DDD/F. A couple of them have GREAT side boob coverage too!
I am also doing a sale where if you Buy 1 costume you get the 2nd 30% off. Buy 2 costumes get the 3rd 40% off. Buy 3 costumes and get the 4th 50% off. Some of these costumes have NEVER been worn or only worn once and they were bought brand new!
Galena Mini Workshop
The College Park Woods is having a craft fair fundraiser on May 2nd at their pool, College Park Woods Swim Club House 3545 Marlbrough Way College Park, MD 20740 from 10am-5pm. Free Entrance.
Galena and a few members of Sestraluna will be providing a short demonstration and mini-workshop event. It is a great way to come sample bellydance before you decide if it is right for you. There aren’t too many events with free entry these days so take advantage.
“Come enjoy a great family oriented craft fair to help raise funds for the local pool. There will be a story time give by the Usbourne representative at 11, 12:30, 2, and 3:30. A kids craft table will be opened all day for kids to come and make that special mother’s day gift for a small fee. You can enjoy some free cake samples by Confections and More. Take home some yummy treats from the bake sale table and enjoy a Belly Dancing demonstration by a local belly dancing troupe.
Other vendors include: Penelope Spa selling wonderful soaps and lotions, a Creative Memory vendor selling scrapbooking material, Quilting Bee selling quilts and taking special orders, and Michelle’s Arts.”
Performing at the MD Faerie Festival
So I just found out that I will be performing with Sestraluna at the Maryland Faerie Festival. I am really looking forward to it. I will update as soon as I know what our timeslot will be.
Update: Looks like we will have 2 20 min timeslots, one on Saturday and one on Sunday. Both Shows will be at 1pm.
